YOU BELONG
IN THIS WORK.
Learn about progressive KC community activism, understand what to expect, and take action with others in the Kansas City Community.
And this is OUR city.
We take care of each other here.
Who We Are
KCWAC is a Kansas City collective of women, non-binary folks and allies helping each other and others find their place in the work for justice, equity, and collective action.
We are LGBTQ+ people and allies. We are unapologetically anti-fascist. We demand reproductive justice and trans liberation. We believe Black Lives Matter. We believe no person can be illegal- much less on stolen land. We believe in organized labor.
We believe that our individuality and our diversity are our strength, and that power is radically and exponentially amplified when we move together

What We Do
Helping Kansas City connect, learn, and take action together.
Learn
We share knowledge with each other and our communities by hosting educational events about practical ways to turn our feelings into progress.

Connect
We form meaningful connections to each other and support each other. Sometimes that's just enjoying each other's company during our monthly Third Thursday social, sometimes its someone to text when the latest headline breaks our hearts, and showing up for each other.
We empower people to engage in first amendment actions like marches, protest and rallies. Community care is our mission and we act on it thought non-violence, de-escalation, safety and taking care of each other.
